I can’t even do my 2025 highlights justice because I very quickly have realised I have so much bts still on my action cams that I’ve not processed yet!
So this is the tiniest glimpse of some magical moments from 2025 â¨
Big thank you to client past, present and future. I can’t do my life my way without you. So you’re all rock stars in my eyes đ¤Š
Looking forward to a banging 2026, I think it will be an exciting year.

YES! Me & @gemmamariephoto did an awkward Christmas photoshoot together in her studio to round up the year, and I’m so jazzed with how the photos came out đ
So great job & thank you to Gem for editing the shoot too âī¸â¨
But I’m so grateful to have this amazing woman in my life, we’re just two photographer friends who help and support each other.
And being business owner & one woman team is hella hard, so this year I’ve really loved our work days together. It’s made the hard times so much easier to deal with and the good times that much better because we could celebrate together.
Here’s to a fantastic 2026 for both of us đĒ

What do I think of the Canon RF 28-70mm lens now we’ve come to the end of the 2025 wedding season?
Well incase you missed it, I got this beast of a lens at the beginning of the season and at first I just thought it was a bit weighty as expected but nothing too wild.
But despite the weight I got it to improve my workflow and efficiency on a wedding day as I know there are times I missed some magical moments because I was busy swapping lenses or some unexpected moments occurred and the lens I had on was not the most ideal.
And yes, we don’t like to admit it as wedding photographers but it is actually impossible to capture absolutely everything on a wedding day, but we want to capture as much of it as possible in the best possible way to tell the story through our photos.
Anyway, back to the lens, because it is so front heavy once I started shooting with it for longer periods… as in a whole wedding day to 8-12 hours I did initially struggle. But I naturally got stronger from using it and I did intentionally adjust some of my weight training to speed up my adaptation time.
And I had the unexpected but added bonus of this lens improving my efficiency in post as well as while shooting. Why?, well all my RAW images became less varied in their overall look in terms of contrast, colour and saturation etc., therefore it has been smoother and easier to create a whole gallery with a continuous flow in the aesthetic.
Now, I predominantly photograph my weddings on my 28-70mm and my 70-200mm lenses, then for couple portraits I might still bang on my 50mm because it is just that little bit sexier.
However overall I think the canon RF28-70mm f2 lens is a total keeper and am very glad to have it in my wedding kit and totally recommend it to other wedding photographers.
What are your thoughts? Do you have this lens and if so did you find it a dream straight away or did it take a hot minute to get there, or is it just not for you?
Let me know đ
One of my couples brought swords to their pre-wedding photoshoot and I absolutely loved it âī¸
And yes, obviously I know want my own sword too đĄī¸
Anyway, during the session we did a little walk around Lower Rivington Reservoir, making sure to stop by Liverpool Castle which is a scaled replica of Merserside’s 13th century stronghold. And you know, I always love a it of history thrown into the mix!
But the great thing about this location was all the different types of spaces to choose from and we took full advantage đ¸
Had such I lovely time laughing with these two lovelies on the shoot, cannot wait for the wedding đâ¨
P.S if someone wants to buy me a sword for Christmas, well I’ll happily accept the gift đ

Sometimes getting the shot means standing in some tree foliage, and that’s exactly what I did here.
I love sitting photos for couples as a more quiet moment during couple portraits on a wedding day and I’ll always get a shot from behind.
I find this view point very romantic in an understated kind of way, and if there is a view in front of them that’s even better.

In case you missed it, earlier this year I bought the Canon RF28-70 f2 lens and did a little unboxing vid for you. Now I’ve finally filmed my review of using the lens for this year’s wedding season.
I will say I filmed it while coming off a cold so my brain wasn’t playing the words game, meaning plenty of outtakes… this is just a few to keep you entertained while I finish editing the actual review đ
Enjoy â¨
